BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – Director of the Documentation and Information Center Veritas Savo Štrbac told SRNA that Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija have fully adopted the Croatian model and, through mass prosecutions of Serbs for alleged war crimes, aim to achieve the same goal – to ethnically cleanse the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
Štrbac stressed that Croats turned the prosecution of Serbs into a “world brand,” and that their model and instructions are being applied not only in the self-proclaimed Kosovo, but also in Ukraine. He stated that the judiciary in Priština is not concerned at all with whether the charges against Serbs qualify as war crimes under international criteria, or even whether they constitute any crime at all. “This is the strongest barrier to the return and survival of Serbs, which is absurd. They arrest someone who comes back after so many years and pin something on him. It doesn’t matter whether he actually did it, or whether what he is charged with really constitutes a war crime. What matters is that the process continues,” Štrbac said. He emphasized that all of this was seen before and copied from Croatia, which recently signed a declaration on military cooperation with the self-proclaimed Kosovo and Albania in Tirana. “Anyone who was a Serb capable of bearing arms in Croatia was prosecuted,” Štrbac said. He added that the ultimate goal is to ethnically cleanse the territory of Serbs.
